Martin Yates, chairman of the Sir Arthur Sullivan Society, tonight
presents a fascinating study of the music from two of Sullivan's
comic operas. "Iolanthe" is well known, but "Haddon Hall" is rarely
performed, and tonight's illustrated talk will be an excellent
introduction to the piece from an accomplished speaker. This is
an event arranged by the Manchester branch of the Gilbert & Sullivan
Society and all visitors are welcome to attend.
